The calendar page spells December and the scent of gingerbread permeates the air. Zimtstern are being iced, while Pfefferneuss are being powdered in white sugar like snow. It certainly is looking like Christmas in our little bakeshop. Springerle, Pfefferneuss, "almond stars", lebkuchen, and mini-macaroons are just a few of our specialties that we only make for the holiday season.
As quickly as December arrived it will also pass leaving behind the wonderful "tastes" of the season. It's a long year to wait to savor such treats again. Christmas 2015 is here, and if our little white packages tied up with string are on the list of some of your favorite things, wait no more. Our boxes can be opened before Christmas, their contents enjoyed throughout the season. The only thing better than the smell of gingerbread in the air, is it's taste!
