There once was a customer who always referred to Haegele's as "His Sure Thing". He traveled to the shore every weekend throughout the summer. No matter what he packed each week, one thing was certain...he couldn't leave without "our white bakery boxes". One morning I found a laminated sign on our door.
"Haegele's It's A Shore Thing...
stock up before you go!" I'll never forget how clever he thought that pun on words was, and we've never forgotten his friendship. Though he is no longer with us, we still have that sign from many years ago and we may just resurrect it for nostalgia. Every year when summer hits and people come in leaving for the Jersey Shore, that clever pun comes to my mind and I think "yup, we're a shore thing"! So if you ever see that faded old sign, you'll know what that's all about. And if you're heading to the seashore, stock up on Haegele's first. Since we're closed for vacation 7/19-8/3, you really need to stock up regardless of where you're heading, because one thing is still certain... we are a
